The Lord Baltimore Hotel knows how to make an entrance.
Opened in 1928, the Lord Baltimore rose as one of Maryland's grandest hotels. Its red-brick tower, ornate stonework, French Renaissance character, and Art Deco interiors still bring the proper amount of ceremony to a weekend devoted to theatrical magic.
Today it is a member of Historic Hotels of America and a genuine downtown landmark. The Inner Harbor is three blocks away, Charles Street is half a block away, and the conference rooms, tavern, bakery, theatre, and guest rooms are all under one delightfully storied roof.

LB Tavern is the hotel's modern take on the classic lobby bar. Its current menu leans into locally sourced lunch and dinner fare, with handcrafted cocktails, small-batch spirits, and Baltimore craft beer on tap.
It is also an excellent place to discuss the lecture you just saw, the method you absolutely did not see, or why someone at the next table has been holding the same sealed envelope for forty minutes.
